The news of Kaepernick’s omission made headlines on Thursday afternoon. On Friday, 49ers general manager John Lynch joined Murph & Mac on KNBR, and admitted that a mistake had been made.

The NFL Network reporter believes it’s unfair to blame the 49ers brass for the current state of affairs due to the injuries the team has suffered.
