Buster Posey was placed on the 7-day concussion disabled list on Tuesday. The Giants say they’re taking precaution and Posey says there are still some lingering issues.

Nick Hundley is expected to take over the starting catching duties. Pavlovic is reporting the Giants have promoted Tim Federowicz from the minors. Posey has played at least 146 games in every season since 2011, when he broke his leg in a collision at home plate.
