While the fans at Levi’s Stadium Thursday night started chanting in support of Colin Kaepernick supplanting Blaine Gabber as the 49ers’ starting quarterback, the players may be leaning in a different direction, according to the latest report out of the locker room.

Grab your popcorn, 49ers fans. This team may be irrelevant on the field, but the drama off of it is just getting started.

Following a 33-21 loss to the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football, the conversation once again turns to Colin Kaepernick and when fans can expect to see him on the field. But Kevin Jones says we might not see Kaepernick this entire season and it won’t be due to any inabilities on the field.

After Chip Kelly didn’t slam the door on a potential switch at quarterback, Blaine Gabbert flat out told the media that he needs to play better.
