Jerry West joined The Murph and Mac Show Tuesday sounding off on how the NBA today isn’t physical and how Zaza isn’t entirely to blame for Kawhi Leonard.
With right-fielder Hunter Pence being placed on the 10-day DL with a left hamstring strain, the Giant’s options in the outfield are starting to wear thin. However, San Francisco was given a glimmer of hope Monday with the performance of Mac Williamson. In his first game since being called up from Triple-A, Williamson went two for four with an RBI single and did a solid job defensively subbing in for Pence in right field.
In a Giants infield that is filled with defensive talent, nobody has been more impressive over the past few seasons than shortstop Brandon Crawford. He’s had an impressive .979 and .983 fielding percentage over the past two seasons respectively, and took home two gold gloves for his efforts. Crawford has been no slouch at the plate either, with two straight 84 RBI seasons and one silver slugger award to go along with his golden gloves.
Mike Krukow joined the Murph and Mac Show on Friday and argued that if Brandon Belt continues to be unable to put the ball in play, he should be dropped out of the two spot in the lineup.
