Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow joined Murph & Mac on Friday and said that he was impressed with Kyle Crick’s first ever performance in a major league uniform.
“It’s definitely not too late to turn it around, we’ve had flashes of playing really good baseball. Nobody in the clubhouse has lost hope of turning this season around, that’s for sure.”
The 2017 season has been a rough one for the San Francisco Giants. They sit at last place in the NL West with a 26-45 record, 19.5 games out of first place. With the biggest concern entering the season being who would play left field, and much of the 2016 team that made the playoffs back in the orange and black, almost no one saw this sharp of a downfall coming.
“Everybody is looking around going, ‘Hey we’re supposed to be better than this, how are we finding new ways to lose?’ Yesterday’s loss, I gotta be honest with you, I didn’t see it coming. I thought it was going to be a very spirited comeback, which it was. It was a remarkable comeback. Then lo and behold, 15 minutes later it all unfolds in just the most unbelievable way. It really was unbelievable.”
