According to many experts, right-handed pitcher Tyler Beede is the best prospect in the San Francisco Giants organization. Beede was the only member of the team included in Baseball America’s Top 100 prospects list for 2017, and is primed to join the big league rotation next season, after their shaky showing this year.

NFL insider Adam Schefter joined The Murph & Mac Show Thursday to give an early take on the Niners season.

For his career, Sandoval’s OPS from the left side (.831) is over 150 points higher than when he hits right handed (.674). At this point, according to Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow, Sandoval should no longer be a switch-hitter.

Baer indicated that at least a couple young managers inquired about both Buster Posey and Madison Bumgarner, but stated that the organization never considered involving either in a trade.

Early reports from training camp are that Hoyer has looked better than expected, something NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport attested to when asked by Drew Hoffar and Kevin Frandsen how he thought Hoyer played after attending 49ers’ practice.

It’s a big jersey to fill, something 49ers general manager John Lynch understands completely. In fact, before giving Thomas the number, Lynch called Smith to ask for his blessing.

Giants broadcaster Duane Kuiper told Murph & Mac on Tuesday morning that Sandoval’s willingness to help a young player, especially one that plays the same position, shows that he is a different person than he was during his first stint in San Francisco.

Last week, Brian Hoyer mentioned on KNBR that for the first time in his career he’s entering training camp with a starting job, and that not looking over his shoulder has helped his confidence.
