The San Francisco Giants optioned closer Camilo Doval to Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, one day after his fifth blown save of the season.

The Giants also optioned catcher Jakson Reetz to Triple-A, while catcher Curt Casali was reinstated from the paternity list and right-hander Landen Roupp was recalled for bullpen depth.

The Giants led the Washington Nationals, 5-2, in the ninth inning Thursday before Doval walked both Keibert Ruiz and Travis Blankenhorn. Luis Garcia Jr. hit a three-run home run with two outs to send the game into extra innings, but San Francsico managed to come away with the victory.

In his past eight appearances, Doval is 5-for-7 on save chances with a 1-0 record and an 8.59 ERA. He walked six in 7 1/3 innings during that span.

Casali, 35, is batting .197 with two doubles and four RBIs in 21 games this season. In 11 big league seasons, he is a career .219 hitter with 47 home runs and 158 RBIs for the Tampa Bay Rays (2014-17), Cincinnati Reds (2018-20, 2023), Giants (2021-22, 2024) and Seattle Mariners (2022).

Reetz, 28, had two hits in 14 at-bats over six games for the Giants and has three career hits in eight MLB games after a short stint with the Washington Nationals in 2021.

Roupp, 25, has 11 relief appearances for the Giants this season, with a 6.06 ERA in 16 1/3 innings.
