The Giants have already opened up their 2023 season, but Friday marks their first game at Oracle Park of the year.

San Francisco split their American League road trip with three wins and three losses. SF took two of three from the Chicago White Sox and picked up one win in Yankee Stadium.

A boom-or-bust offense has defined the club early on, with the Giants belting a franchise record 15 home runs in their first six games, but also getting shut out twice. Their power surge leads Major League Baseball so far.

The Kansas City Royals, who finished last season 65-97, are in town for SF’s first home series of the year. A light morning drizzle is expected to clear up for first pitch at 1:35 PT.

Alex Cobb, who allowed one run in 3.2 innings against the Yankees in his first start, is on the bump for the Giants. He’ll face Brad Keller, a righty who posted a 5.09 ERA in 2022.

Here’s the Giants’ starting lineup behind Cobb.

LaMonte Wade Jr.  – 1B
Michael Conforto  – RF
David Villar  – 3B
Joc Pederson – DH
Mike Yastrzemski  – CF
Thairo Estrada  – 2B
Brandon Crawford  – SS
Blake Sabol  – LF
Roberto Pérez  – C
