It wasn’t all smiles for the Lakers on Tuesday night.
Before LeBron James became the leading scorer in NBA history, Russell Westbrook and Los Angeles head coach Darvin Ham had a heated verbal exchange in the locker room at halftime, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Ham was upset that Westbrook lingered on the court after getting subbed out late in the second quarter. According to ESPN, voices were raised in the locker room before cooler heads prevailed.
Eventually the two buried the hatchet, and Westbrook closed the game, scoring 14 of his 27 points in the fourth quarter. Westbrook and Ham dapped each other up before leaving the arena according to Woj.
In the third quarter, James scored 38 points surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the No. 1 spot on the NBA’s career scoring list. LA lost the game to the Oklahoma City Thunder, 133-130.
