We have a bit of good news on the Damar Hamlin situation.

According to Hamlin’s uncle, Dorrian Glenn, the Bills safety is now breathing using only 50% of the ventilator, as opposed to 100% yesterday. He did say his nephew does have a little lung damage, but overall the news is positive.

“That’s a good thing. That’s a good sign,” he said via Bills reporter Matt Parrino.

The Monday night matchup between the Bills and Bengals was postponed in the first quarter after Hamlin collapsed on the field. He received treatment — including CPR — while laying motionless for over 10 minutes. He appeared to be receiving oxygen as he was placed in the ambulance and taken off the field.

According to local reports, Hamlin was not breathing on his own on Monday night and has been listed in critical condition.

Hamlin collapsed after tackling Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins. Hamlin got up to his feet, then appeared to pass out and fall to the ground.

Multiple players on both teams appeared in great distress as Hamilin received treatment, and a few wept openly as time passed. The entire Bills sideline surrounded Hamlin as he received care.

Hamlin is 24 years old and was drafted by the Bills out of the University of Pittsburgh in 2021.

The Bills-Bengals game will not resume this week, the NFL announced on Tuesday morning.

The league has not made any changes to the Week 18 schedule, so it is unclear if the Bengals-Bills game will go down as a tie, of if the league will try to make it up at a later date. The Bills are next scheduled to host the New England Patriots on Sunday. The Bengals are scheduled to host the Baltimore Ravens, but the timing for that game is currently unclear as it was dependent on the outcome of the game against the Bills.

The Bills returned to Buffalo in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

“We are grateful and thankful for the outpouring of support we have received thus far,” the Bills said in the statement.
