Dre Greenlaw’s game ended early on Sunday night.
The 49ers linebacker was ejected from Sunday Night Football against the Chargers at Levi’s Stadium, after a helmet-to-helmet hit on Los Angeles quarterback Justin Herbert that knocked him out for the final drive of the first half.
Herbert headed to the blue medical tent after Greenlaw was tossed. Chargers backup QB Chase Daniel went three-and-out, leading to a field goal.
Greenlaw was somewhat unlucky on the play, having already lowered his head before Herbert’s body adjusted after being hit by another defender.
