On his “Point Forward” podcast, veteran Andre Iguodala announced that he’s re-signing with the Golden State Warriors.
Iguodala, 38, will return for his 19th NBA season and eighth in The Bay.
“I’m letting you know now, Steph, this is the last one,” Iguodala said.
Iguodala said Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, Steve Kerr and Bob Myers showed him love this offseason, a motivating factor in his decision.
During the Warriors’ title season last year, Iguodala battled injuries and only played 31 regular season games. He appeared in seven postseason contests, averaging 8.7 minutes.
But Iguodala’s value comes from more than whatever he can produce on the court. He’s the most experienced veteran on a team with young players like Jonathan Kuminga, James Wiseman and Moses Moody.
Iguodala has won four NBA titles — all with the Warriors — and was named the 2015 Finals MVP.
