Giants fans weren’t the only ones pissed off that Carlos Rodón didn’t get a nod for the All-Star Game.

Carlos’ wife Ashley Rodón, who is frequently outspoken on social media, took to the platform on Sunday and voiced her displeasure about her husband’s snub.

“Are you actually kidding…” Ashley wrote with a crying laughing emoji after news broke that Rodón wasn’t on the team. “Man leads the NL in WAR. Wtf.”

She followed it up with another tweet: “JOKE. I literally have no words.”

Carlos Rodón does indeed lead the entire Major Leagues in wins above replacement among pitchers according to Fangraphs, per Ashley’s tweet. That stat does make him not being included seem a bit shocking.

Disgruntled fans will also look at the inclusion of Clayton Kershaw — who has started just 11 games and struck out nearly half of the amount of batters that Rodón has — as the player who the Giants’ ace should’ve replaced. Kershaw’s appointment shouldn’t be a surprise considering the Midsummer Classic is in Los Angeles.

The good news? Rodón is likely to be at the top of the list of NL All-Star replacements, meaning there is a good chance he ends up getting selected.
