The Warriors are back on the mountaintop, and Vegas thinks they’ll still be there in 2023.
The first NBA Finals odds released by Caesars Sportsbook have Golden State as the favorites to win the title next year, with Vegas giving the Dubs 5-to-1 ($100 bet would net you $500) odds to earn trophy No. 5 in the Steve Kerr era. On their heels are the Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics, who are each listed at 6-to-1.
Other teams with single digit title odds are the Milwaukee Bucks (15-2), Phoenix Suns (8-1) and LA Clippers (8-1).
Golden State entered this season with the fourth highest Finals odds at 10-to-1, behind the Lakers, Nets and Bucks.
“I think it was a no-brainer to have the Warriors as the favorite,” Adam Pullen, assistant director of trading at Caesars via ESPN. “When they’re healthy, you can’t argue with their pedigree over the last decade. Everything points to the Warriors being the favorite.”
Other notable championship odds for next season, according to Caesars Sportsbook, include: Miami Heat (14-1); Philadelphia 76ers (16-1); Dallas Mavericks (16-1); Memphis Grizzlies (16-1); Los Angeles Lakers (22-1); Bulls (60-1); and New York Knicks (150-1).
