At least there’s some good news.
Stephen Curry revealed that the injury he sustained at the end of Wednesday’s Game 3 loss was the same foot sprain he sustained earlier in the year when Marcus Smart landed on him. However, while that injury knocked Steph out for weeks, he doesn’t believe this injury is nearly as serious, and expect to be ready for Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
“I’ll be alright,” Curry said. “I got caught underneath Al. Obviously, there will be some pain but I’ll be alright. Figure out how it feels tomorrow and get ready for Friday.”
“I don’t feel like I’ll miss a game.”
The play on Wednesday took place when Curry dove on the floor for a loose ball, and had Al Horford — all 240 pounds of him — land on Steph’s left foot.
Draymond Green received his sixth and final foul in the tussle, pushing Marcus Smart to the ground while trying to protect Curry from further harm.
“Yeah, you always worry, but yeah, I saw him getting dove on and that was about that,” Green said about picking up the foul. “So I picked up my foul pushing off him because he’s screaming at the bottom of the pile. Yeah, it is what it is. I’ll take the foul. I’m going to get him off his legs, though. It’s all good.”
