With under a minute left in the first half of Game 2, Draymond Green and Jaylen Brown had to be separated near the Warriors’ bench.
Green had fouled Brown while the wing was shooting a 3-pointer. They got tangled up on the court, and Green shoved Brown in the back. When Green was trying to stand up, he also tugged on Brown’s shorts.
The extracurricular activity was reviewed, but neither player was assessed a technical foul.
Green had already picked up a technical foul in the first quarter when he was antagonizing Boston forward Grant Williams. A second technical would have warranted an ejection.
Green’s first-quarter technical was his fourth of the postseason. Players are suspended for a game after picking up seven technicals.
A particularly feisty Green recorded seven points, four assists and three rebounds as Golden State took a 52-50 lead into halftime. The Warriors forced 11 Celtics turnovers, already more than Boston had in the entire series opener.
