The Giants have their first rain-out of the year.

San Francisco’s scheduled game for Monday night against the Mets in Citi Field has been postponed. The teams will play a doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon, starting at 3:10 ET, 12:10 pacific.

In the newly agreed upon collective bargaining agreement, double-headers have returned to traditional nine-inning affairs.

The Giants have won five straight entering a four-game series with the Mets. Both teams have seven wins, as many as any club in MLB.

An unscheduled rest day can’t be the worst thing for the Giants, who were set to play 13 games in as many days — 11 of which came on the road.

San Francisco swept the Guardians with three wins in Cleveland. They have this series against New York, then a three-game trip to Washington D.C. to play the Nationals. Before heading back to the Bay to host the Athletics, the club will make a pitstop in Milwaukee to play the Brewers — a make-up game stemming from the lockout.

Alex Cobb was scheduled to start Monday, so will likely take the bump in the early makeup game. Logan Webb and Max Scherzer are the projected starters for the second leg of Tuesday’s double-header.
