When you have 21 free agents, you’re bound to lose a couple.

That happened to the Giants on Wednesday, with the news that outfielder Alex Dickerson has signed with the Atlanta Braves and second baseman Donovan Solano is now a Cincinnati Red. The Dickerson news was officially announced by the Braves while the Solano move was reported by folks covering the team.

Solano, 34, earned a one-year deal worth $4.5 million, the most he’s ever been paid after three impressive seasons with the Giants. Solano slashed .308/.354/.435 from 2019-2021, all better than his career averages, and earned a Silver Slugger award in 2020.

Dickerson, 31, also revitalized his career in 2020, posting a career best .947 OPS and 10 home runs in 52 games. Dickerson showed some regression last year while slashing .233/.304/.420, but also missed a chunk of the season due to injury. His deal is for one year and $1 million.

Dickerson and Solano join Kevin Gausman (Blue Jays), Jose Quintana (Pirates), Reyes Moronta (Dodgers) and Trevor Gott (Brewers) as the players who have departed via free agency this offseason. On the other side of the ledger, the Giants have signed Carlos Rodon, Anthony DeSclafani, Alex Wood, Alex Cobb and Carlos Martinez.

The following players remain unsigned via Spotrac:
