Since Draymond Green was knocked out of action in early January with a L5-S1 disc injury in his back, the Warriors have been very tightlipped about any sort of specific timetable.
The last “update” came on Feb. 16, when Golden State announced that Green was “making good progress in his recovery/rehabilitation and it’s anticipated that he will return to play at some point after the All-Star break.”
That’s about as vague as you can get, and the vagueness led many to speculate that the injury could keep Green out for a significant period of time. It would appear that is true.
“Hopefully three to four weeks,” Green said of when he thinks he’ll return to the court during the TNT broadcast on Sunday. “That’s what I’m shooting for.”
If that timetable is accurate, Green would miss nearly the remainder of the regular season, which ends on April 10.
As it stands Green has missed the Warriors’ last 22 games. In those 22 games, which include the seven second cameo in Klay Thompson’s return, Golden State is 14-8.
