The Warriors are still looking for a backup point guard and they’re bringing in another player to compete for minutes.
Chris Chiozza has agreed to a one-year deal with Golden State according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Chiozza played 22 games for the Nets last season averaging over 10 minutes per game. The deal is apparently a two-way contract that will see Chiozza split time between Golden State and the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League.

Chiozza, 25, is a high energy, pass-first point guard who averaged three assists per game despite limited minutes. Chiozza played four years at the University of Florida, and was named a First-Team All-SEC selection in his senior season. After going undrafted Chiozza bounced around the league before landing with Brooklyn in 2019.
Chiozza will compete with Jordan Poole and Nico Mannion for backup PG minutes. Andre Iguodala is also likely to spend significant time as the primary ball handler with the second unit.
