We have now reached Part 5 of the Bradley Beal vs. Kent Bazemore Hamstring-gate controversy. A brief recap:
Part 1: Kent Bazemore said the following two days after Beal scored 50 points and then hurt his hamstring, and Stephen Curry scored 49 points to keep his lead in the race for the NBA scoring title:
“Forty-nine points in 29 minutes, that’s unreal,” Bazemore said referring to Curry’s performance on Saturday. “We got guys hurting hamstrings to keep up.”
Part 2: Bradley Beal’s wife, Kamiah Adams-Beal, goes on Twitter rant about how Kent Bazemore sucks at basketball
Part 3: Beal himself goes on a Twitter rant against Bazemore, in which he calls the Warriors’ forward a clown and lame.
Part 4: Bazemore responds after Monday’s win vs. the Jazz, saying that he was just joking and Beal is being too sensitive.
Bazemore responds to Bradley Beal's tweet rant directed at him, after Bazemore made a joke about his hamstring injury earlier today.
"That's the kind of world we're living in right now. A little sensitive…

Which brings us to today and what is probably an unnecessary fifth part of this spat. Beal went on ESPN’s “First Take” Tuesday morning to further clarify why indeed he is/was so angry at Bazemore.
“I didn’t like that. I didn’t like the last part of the comment,” Beal said. “The first half of it about what Steph was doing was — I’m with you, bro. Forty-nine in 29 minutes, I think everybody in here can agree that that’s remarkable and truly amazing, so nobody’s arguing that.
“But I didn’t mention you, my hamstrings have nothing to do with why I go out there and play the game, and for me to injure my hamstring and you kind of make a joke about it, I don’t take that too fondly, honestly, because I take pride in being somebody who — my first four years, I was always labeled as an injury-prone guy. I was always labeled as somebody who couldn’t stay on the floor. So I take pride in my body, I take pride in being on the floor and being available for my team and giving my team the best chance to win. … Don’t make fun of something that’s not funny.”
You would think this beef is now over with, but don’t be shocked if we’re coming at you with Part 6 later this afternoon.
