This day is relentlessly funny. And Jed York, 49ers CEO, wanted in on the action, too. He took to Twitter early in the day, saying he wanted to share his thoughts and that he, “Can’t wait to make new friends through social media.”
How wholesome.
York decided to add some chaos to an already chaotic day, saying he drove to the team facility for the final pre-draft meeting, only to decide not to find out who the 49ers are drafting with the third overall pick. That seems… questionable and doubtful at best.
#DraftDay just finished up a great meeting with @JohnLynch49ers & Kyle. They were about to tell me the pick and I asked to wait til we’re on the clock. Gotta watch tonight

So, York continued, joking that he immediately regretted not knowing the pick (which, again, seems doubtful).
#DraftDay ok, so 3 coaches in 3 years wasn’t the best decision from 2014-16 but I’m starting to think choosing not to know our plan for tonight isn’t one of my best decisions either

#DraftDay thinking about going for a run. Suspense is too much. How many miles should I go for 1? 5? 10? 12? 16? or 1?

It’s a very silly day.
#DraftDay I want to apologize for the last tweet. Clearly I don’t run much. Sorry to all the runners out there. I’m just waiting for the draft to start
