The Warriors seem to have interest in a lot of players these days.

They are in ninth place in the West after all, so it shouldn’t be a shock that trying to make some improvements before the March 25 trade deadline is on their minds. The latest report comes from a legitimate source and involves a legitimate player. Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer is reporting that the Warriors are interested in trading for two-time All-Star Victor Oladipo.

Oladipo, who turns 29 this year, is having a down campaign in his second season following a major knee injury, and his first with the Houston Rockets since being involved in the mid-season blockbuster that sent James Harden to the Nets. Oladipo’s counting stats are nothing to sneeze at — 20 points per game this season — but his field goal percentage of over 38 percent with the Rockets would be a career low, as would his 43.6 percent from 3-point range during the same period.

Oladipo is on an expiring contract, and is considered to be in the Rockets’ future plans, so the price tag may not be high. Oladipo is also a decent playmaker with the ball (4.5 assists per game this season) and a very strong wing defender. The playmaking is especially enticing, considering the Warriors have very few consistent options in that department beyond Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.
