Scoring has been a problem for the Warriors second unit this season, and they may be sniffing around for a solution.

Golden State has expressed interest in Kings stretch big man Nemanja Bjelica, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. Bjelica, along with former Warriors forward Harrison Barnes, have both been placed on the trading block by the Kings as we near three weeks before the deadline.

Bjelica, 32, is having a down year shooting the ball, hitting just 31 percent of his three-pointers which falls well below his career average of 39 percent. Bjelica is coming off a career year where he scored over 11 points per game on 41 percent shooting from three, so there is reason to believe that his cold start from the floor this year would improve with a change of scenery. Bjelica was sidelined for 14 games with injury, and has shot 38 percent from deep since returning on Feb. 9.

A 6-foot-10 native of Serbia’s ability to stretch out would provide spacing on a second unit that typically likes to keep the paint open for either James Wiseman or Eric Paschall. Bjelica is making $7.2 million this season and is on an expiring contract. He’s averaging 8 points and over 4 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game this season.
