The Warriors will be playing small for at least another week.

Steve Kerr announced during his Thursday Zoom conference that James Wiseman still has pain in his left wrist that was sprained on Jan 31. Wiseman’s original target for return was now, but he’ll be out at least 7-10 more days before he’s reevaluated again.

“Unfortunately he still has pain,” Kerr said. “As long as there’s pain in the wrist, we have to keep him back.”

That means the Warriors will be without Wiseman for their entire four-game homestand which includes matchups vs. Magic, Nets, Cavaliers and Heat. That’s four consecutive games against teams with bigs that are skilled on either the offensive and/or defensive end in Nikola Vucevic, DeAndre Jordan, Andre Drummond and Bam Adebayo respectively.

In the meantime, the Warriors will continue to go small with Juan Toscano-Anderson and Draymond Green splitting most of the duties at center because they have no choice. Don’t expect them to try and add anybody either.

“We’re not looking to do anything,” Kerr said.
