For all intents and purposes, the 49ers’ season is over. Sure there is still draft positioning to be ironed out, but aside from that, there is more value in looking ahead to next season then breaking down Sunday’s matchup vs. the Seattle Seahawks.
In that vein, let’s look at the 15 opponents we know the 49ers will face next season, on the heels of Albert Breer’s report regarding what the inter-conference rotation will be in 2021.
According to Breer, the NFC West will play the AFC South. That means the 49ers will have home games vs. the Texans and Colts, and away matchups vs. the Jaguars and Titans.
The 49ers will also face the NFC North, meaning home games vs. the Packers and Vikings, and road matchups vs. the Bears and Lions.
Additionally because the NFL is adding a 17th game next season, the 49ers will play a one game crossover with the AFC North. Since San Francisco is finishing in 4th place in the NFC West, they’ll face the last-place Bengals and a location to be determined.
Rounding out the non-NFC West slate, the 49ers will face the remaining last place teams which will be determined by whatever happens in Week 17. They will play a home game against either the Falcons or Panthers, and a road game at the Eagles or Giants.
Here’s a full breakdown of what their 2021 opponents will look like:

Bears (Away)
