The Golden State Warriors will finally return to the court on December 12, for their first game at Chase Center since a March 10 matchup vs. the Los Angeles Clippers, a day before the NBA season was suspended due to COVID-19.
Golden State kicks off the preseason vs. the Denver Nuggets, who are fresh off a trip to the Western Conference Finals, and a group hoping to make some noise in 2021 on the backs of stars Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.
The Warriors round out the preseason slate with back-to-back matchups vs. the Kings at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento on Dec. 15 and Dec. 17.
While it’s unlikely Stephen Curry and Draymond Green will see heavy minutes in any of the three games, it will provide Warriors’ fans their first look at No. 2 overall pick James Wiseman, and recent free agent acquisitions Kelly Oubre and Brad Wanamaker, all three of which are expected to have significant roles this season.
The December 12 game will also serve as a homecoming for Kent Bazemore, who started his NBA career with the Warriors in 2012.
