Ahead of Thursday’s matchup vs. the Packers, the 49ers are scrambling to field a healthy roster.

With every receiver except for Trent Taylor out due to injury or a COVID scare (Richie James Jr. is questionable), the 49ers called up three pass catchers from the practice squad: WRs River Cracraft and Kevin White, as well as TE Daniel Helm. The 49ers also activated OL Tony Bergstrom, RB Austin Walter and S Jonathan Cyprian.

Just as notable is the activation of tight end Jordan Reed from the injured reserve. Reed will be available on Sunday for the first time since sustaining a knee injury in Week 3. He replaces George Kittle, who along with Jimmy Garoppolo, is headed to the injured reserve, possibly for the remainder of the season.

The team also signed DL Josiah Coatney to the practice squad and released practice squad WR Chris Finke.
