You could say Javon Kinlaw’s father was floored when the San Francisco 49ers selected his son with the 14th pick during Round 1 of the NFL Draft on Friday.
A lifelong 49ers fan, George Kinlaw literally fell out of his chair upon the announcement of the pick.
Javon was pretty happy himself, saying in an interview before the draft that the 49ers were the team he hoped would select him. He’ll likely be even more excited when he joins arguably the best defensive line in football.
