On a night when former teammate Russell Westbrook made his return to Oklahoma City, Kevin Durant wasn’t pulling any punches when discussing his legacy with another former teammate, Kendrick Perkins.

The interaction started with a tweet by Perkins teasing his take that Westbrook is best player in Thunder history.

Durant didn’t take too kindly to this opinion, pointing out that Perkins averaged just two points and three rebounds during a second-round exit in 2013 when Westbrook was out with a torn ACL. He also said that Perkins should’ve worked more on his game.

That’s when things started to get really heated, with Perkins calling Durant’s move the “weakest move in NBA history” and that Durant “don’t even feel like a real champ.”

At least Perkins’ take on KD leave is original and one we haven’t heard before.
