Hunter Bishop is on the move.
The Giants’ No. 10-overall pick last month got his first promotion Tuesday, when he moved up from the Arizona League to short-season Salem-Keizer in the Northwest League.
Going with the outfielder from Serra High and Arizona State will be Logan Wyatt, the Giants’ second-round pick this year.
Both 23-year-olds are a ways away, but they began to separate themselves in short stints in Arizona. Bishop played seven games and went 5-for-20 with three doubles and a home run. He also walked nine times for an on-base percentage of .483 and chipped in a pair of steals.
Wyatt, a first baseman from Louisville, went 9-for-24 (.375) with nine RBIs in his seven games.
