Much to everyone’s delight, the referees have not been a story in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals. Perhaps just as notable, it took until the closing moments of the third quarter for the first “landing space” incident to take place.
For those uninitiated, the Rockets were upset at what they believed were multiple instances on the Warriors encroaching upon the landing space of their 3-point shooters in Game 1, plays that were not called as fouls. When the Warriors were finally called for a foul on a Harden 3-point shot in Game 2, Chris Paul took the opportunity to ironically celebrate.
