The San Francisco Giants announced their lineup on Friday morning, before their home opener vs. the Tampa Bay Rays. The lineup features new acquisition Kevin Pillar playing in center field and batting in the seventh spot, with Steven Duggar once again playing in right field and batting leadoff. Evan Longoria faces his former team for the first time as a member of the Giants, and is batting in the third spot.

The rain has been consistant at Oracle Park as we approach game time, but the game is still due to begin at it’s scheduled time of 1:35. The Rays enter with a 5-2 record, an inverse of the Giants’ 2-5 mark following their first two series on the road.

Dereck Rodriguez will take the ball for the second time this season. The Giants won his first start 3-2 on March 30 in San Diego. Rodriguez worked 5.0 innings and allowed two runs on four hits to earn the win.
