Klay ignores question about state of Warriors, lists what he’s thankful for

Whether he’s trying or not, Klay Thompson continues to be an endless source of deadpan humor.

The latest incident took place at Monday’s shootaround, when Thompson was asked about the state of the Warriors heading into the second half of the season. Instead of listing what he liked about the team, Thompson, either because he felt like it or because he misunderstood the question, listed a number of things that he’s thankful for.

“What do I like?,” Klay began. “Life, food, my dog, my family, my friends, my home, my health. That’s what I’m thankful for. That’s what I like. My hobbies. Movies. Video games.”

As reporters chuckled, Klay was then asked to give an answer more specific to the team.

“Team has been good,” Klay said. “Obviously wish we were first place but three-fifths of our starting lineup has missed like 30 percent of the games. We’ve yet to see our offseason center acquisition play, so we’ve got a lot of things to look forward to. But we’re right there, we’re second in the West I’m pretty sure and we have a chance to win two at home then hit the road and be the road Warriors again.”

Never change Klay.
