A home run by Crawford into the Crawford boxes at Minute Maid Park…against his brother-in-law. Sounds good to us, @bcraw35

Brandon Crawford’s insane month of May continued during Tuesday’s game vs. the Astros, when the Giants shortstop hit a two-run jack in the top of the fifth inning. It’s one Crawford will likely remember for a long time, considering it came off Houston starter Gerrit Cole, one of the best pitchers in baseball this season, who also happens to be the husband of his sister Amy Crawford.
Crawford’s sister didn’t seem to know how to react to the home run, while Crawford’s dad filmed the event on his phone, in a video that will surely been shown at the next family get-together.
It’s the first time Crawford has gone yard off his brother-in-law after facing him 18 times heading into Tuesday’s game, posting just a .222 average with five strikeouts. Cole has a 1.75 ERA in nine starts this season.
The home run put the Giants on the board after falling into an early 5-0 hole.
