For the second time this month, former 49ers and Raiders defensive lineman Aldon Smith was arrested in San Francisco, according to Evan Sernoffsky of the San Francisco Chronicle. Smith turned himself in on Friday morning after violating a court order by contacting the victim of the March 3 domestic violence incident.

Smith eventually turned himself in to law enforcement a few days after the March 3 incident, which included Smith reportedly drinking two bottles of tequila, then allegedly biting his fiancee’s wrists and climbing out her window, possibly fleeing in a black Range Rover, according to dispatch audio reviewed by the San Jose Mercury News.
“Caller says her ex-boyfriend is beating her up….also hear: ‘No please. No please.’ … it’s an ongoing issue,” a San Francisco police dispatcher told officers around 8:30 p.m. Saturday. “The guy’s name is Aldon Smith.”
Police were searching for Smith days after he “fled the scene.”
The Raiders released Smith on March 5.
Smith hasn’t played a full 16-game season since 2012, when he was named a NFC Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team All-Pro as a member of the 49ers. Smith was eventually released by the 49ers in 2015, after being arrested for his third DUI.
