Warriors forward Draymond Green left Monday night’s game with an injury reported as a ‘midsection contusion.’ Green collided with Spurs guard Danny Green midair, and the Warriors forward crouched over in apparent discomfort before leaving the game.
Green underwent X-rays. Fortunately for the Warriors, the results were negative.

“Basically it’s like a bruise in his pubic area,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said. “I don’t know how else to describe it.”
The Warriors entered the game without three of their four All-Stars. Stephen Curry continues to sit with an injured ankle, Kevin Durant was out with a fractured right rib, and Klay Thompson is resting a fractured thumb. Omri Casspi also sat out with an ankle sprain.
With none of its four All-Stars to finish the contest, Golden State still managed to overcome a 16-point deficit on Monday night. The Spurs pulled away in the fourth quarter, however, to win the game, 89-75.
After the loss, Kerr was asked whether Green would have returned to the game if the stakes were higher. Golden State has already clinched a playoff berth.
“This was not a game we were going to chase, so we didn’t take any chances,” Kerr said.
