On Tuesday night, former 49ers wide receiver Terrell Owens and general manager John Lynch both were named finalists for the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame. Owens made it this far each of the last two years, while this is Lynch’s fifth straight year as a hall of fame finalist.

In his 15-year NFL career, Lynch spent 11 years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and four with the Denver Broncos. He was a nine-time Pro Bowler and earned first-team All-Pro honors twice. In 2002, Lynch was a major cog in the Buccaneers historically-dominant defense that went on to win the Super Bowl.

Owens debuted in 1996 and spent the first eight seasons of his career with the 49ers, where he went to four Pro Bowls from 2000-2004, and was a first-team All-Pro three times. He made two more Pro Bowls and first-team All Pros with the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys before his career came to an end with one season as a Cincinnati Bengal in 2010.
