Two of the best trash talkers in the world are going at it on social media.
His much anticipated clash with Floyd Mayweather just a month away, UFC star Conor McGregor was recently seen working out in an old school, No. 23 Warriors jersey. Golden State’s current No. 23 is Draymond Green, who made it clear in an Instagram post Sunday morning that he’s not crazy about McGregor rocking the blue and gold.
“We rocking with Floyd (Mayweather) not you bro,” Green said, “take that off bruh.”
Unsurprisingly McGregor was quick to respond, pointing out that he was actually wearing a C.J. Watson jersey, and that he doesn’t know who Draymond is.
“That’s C.J. Watson mate,” McGregor commented on the post. “I don’t know who the f*** you are. No disrespect tho kid, keep hustling and stay in school.”
McGregor is likely wearing the jersey to get under Mayweather’s skin, as the boxer was accused in 2010 of assaulting his then-girlfriend after reading affectionate text messages between her and Watson, according to USA Today.
“Now ask yourself why I’m rocking C.J. when I don’t know of give a f*** about basketball,” McGregor continued. “I dribble heads off the floor. Not a ball. This is no game here kid.”
Green responded:
No word from C.J. Watson yet, who is currently a free agent after being waived by the Magic earlier this month.
