The $3.1 million is the full slot deal for Ramos, who the Giants selected with the 19th overall pick. The Giants went nearly $450,000 over the slot value to sign third-round pick Seth Corry for $1 million, while going under slot value to sign second-round pick Jacob Gonzalez for $950,000. Ramos is a power-hitting outfield prospect who just graduated from Leadership Christian High School in Puerto Rico, and was considered the top Puerto Rican prospect in the draft.
The Giants also signed fifth-rounder Jason Bahr and seventh-rounder Logan Harasta, sources told Mayo and MLBPipeline.com reporter Jim Callis.
