Colin Kaepernick finally has a meeting with an NFL team.
After weeks of debate regarding his free-agent status, Kaepernick is one of two quarterbacks meeting and working out with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Two weeks ago, multiple reports surfaced that Kapernick had not received an offer from an NFL team, or had a single meeting this offseason, based in large part to the controversy surrounding his National Anthem protest last season. Kaepernick has stated he will stand for the anthem this season, but will continue to donate money and do charity work in hopes of furthering racial equality in the United States.
Kaepernick, 29, went 1-11 in his 12 starts in 2016, but had his best statistical season since 2013. He completed 59.2 percent of his passes with 16 touchdowns, four interceptions and a passer rating of 90.7. He also rushed for 468 yards.
Kaepernick has played in a number of high profile games against the Seahawks in his career, including the 2013 NFC Championship Game in Seattle, where Kaepernick threw an interception in the Seahawks’ end zone with 30 seconds remaining, spoiling the 49ers’ Super Bowl hopes.
If Kaepernick were to sign with Seattle, he’d likely compete with second-year player Trevone Boykin for the backup quarterback spot. The Seahawks current third-stringer is Jake Heaps, a former practice squad player who was re-signed in May.
