Zaza gives Klay framed SF Chronicle to commemorate outscoring him in Game 3

Zaza Pachulia has no intention of letting Klay Thompson forget about Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals. In the Warriors 102-91 win over Utah on May 6, Klay scored just six points on 1-of-9 shooting. Zaza, on the other hand, scored a whopping seven points on 3-of-5 shooting. After the game, Zaza made sure to tell reporters that he had outscored Klay, but the fun didn’t stop there.

At practice on Friday afternoon, Pachulia presented Klay with a special newspaper to commemorate the occasion. The headline reads “Hell Freezes Over,” and the frame is complete with a box score of the game to ensure Thompson will always remember exactly what went down.

Pachulia posted on Instagram the night of the game in question, and called it a “historical night.” It was the only game all season where Pachulia outscored Thompson.

Historical night. @klaythompson 6pts. Zaza 7pts.?? #WarriorsvsJazz

The big man from Georgia averaged 6.1 points per game this season, while Klay dropped 22.3 points per game. In the playoffs, Thompson is scoring 16.1 points per game and Pachulia is averaging 5.8 points per contest. If Zaza ever outscores Klay again, it will be interesting to see if he takes his trolling to even newer heights.
