Davis will join 11 other running backs on the Seahawks depth chart trying to make the team for 2017. Davis became expendable after the 49ers signed Tim Hightower, drafted Joe Williams in the fourth round and signed un-drafted free agent Matt Brieda. Carlos Hyde is expected to start Week 1.
Davis finishes his 49ers career with 54 carries for 108 yards and one touchdown in 14 games played over two seasons. Baalke drafted him out of South Carolina in the fourth round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
The 49ers also released running back DuJuan Harris on Monday.
