Another game, another Giants injury. This time it’s center fielder Denard Span.
The 33-year-old collided with the wall Saturday against Colorado in the second inning. It looks like a right shoulder injury — hell of a catch from Span, by the way.

Connor Gillaspie pinch hit for Span and moved to third base, which pushed Eduardo Nunez into right field. Gorkys Hernandez moved to center field with Chris Marrero manning left field.
Hunter Pence missed Saturday’s game with a leg injury but told reporters in Colorado he’ll return Sunday. Of course, Madison Bumgarner injured his left shoulder and ribs Thursday in a dirt bike accident. Ken Rosenthal reports he could miss 6-8 weeks. Buster Posey just got off the 7-day concussion list after getting beaned in the head during the home opener. Brandon Crawford will enter the 3-day bereavement list later next week to attend funeral services for his sister in-law.
The Giants have not announced anything on the severity of Span’s injury. Heading into Saturday, Span was hitting just .200 on the season with 2 RBI.
