TNT broadcast catches Draymond talking trash to Paul Pierce

OAKLAND — In a matchup of classic NBA smack talkers, Draymond Green approached Paul Pierce Thursday night at Oracle Arena, ribbing the 39-year-old’s farewell tour.

Pierce has been among the most vocal critics of Kevin Durant joining the Warriors this summer.

“I could have left Boston years ago but I stuck it out,” Pierce said, in an interview with SiriusXM (via HoopsHype). “I just feel like when you’re that close as a competitor, you don’t go join the team that just pushed you out. That’s just me personally but we’re living in a day and time where there’s a new generation. Guys I don’t think they are as hungry or competitive as my generation was, and that’s why you’ll probably see more of that.”

We can’t wait for what Draymond has to say about this after the game. You can bet Pierce, a 10-time All-Star, will also have a response in the locker room.
