Giants pitcher Tyler Beede freestyle raps for KNBR

SCOTTSDALE – Young Giants pitcher Tyler Beede hopes to play a significant role in the majors this season, possible even as the team’s fifth starter if veteran Matt Cain can’t retain his All-Star status in 2017.

But, when he joined the boys on KNBR’s Minor League Podcast, Cody Pasby and Adam Copeland, they couldn’t let him go without asking about “Young Beedah,” Beede’s stage name when he raps in public. Despite being in a Target at the time, the 23-year-old Beede felt confident enough in his skills to put on a little public performance.

In case you don’t yet believe in Young Beedah’s ability to carry a beat, the diehard Patriots’ fan from Auburn, MA has a couple of YouTube videos out for your viewing pleasure.

No word yet on whether being able to flow will help Beede land a spot in the Giants’ starting pitching rotation this season.
