With Kevin Durant’s return to Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City is the most electric, pressure packed venue in the country Saturday night.

As expected, a majority of Thunder fans booed Durant during his pregame warmups. Displays of trash talking were all over the map including old Durant tweets about disliking super teams turned into signs, KowarD t-shirts, and cupcakes — the latter an homage to what Russell Westbrook posted on social media July 4th when Durant made his decision to join the Golden State Warriors, insinuating that Durant was soft.

Mercury News columnist Marcus Thompson captured some of the images from the crowd on his Instagram.

“You plan for the worst,” Durant told reporters pregame. “You know, obviously, I know how it is. I know what fans are about, especially here. Trying not to think about it, just go out and play.”

But there were a few Warriors fans who wanted to show their support for Durant, as documented by ace Bay Area News Group reporter Anthony Slater.

It’s unclear if those Warriors fans are from OKC and made the jump with Durant to Golden State.
