The San Francisco Giants continued their trend of avoiding arbitration hearings, offering contracts to all six of their arbitration-eligible players on Friday evening, and agreeing to one-year deals with two of them.
Right-handed reliever Cory Gearrin, 30, agreed will earn $1.05 million and utility infielder Ehire Adrianza, 27, will make $600,000 next season according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.

Contracts were also offered to George Kontos, Will Smith, Eduardo Nunez and Conor Gillaspie, with the two sides hammering out the specific figures in the coming days, according to CSN Bay Area’s Alex Pavlovic.
Gearrin posted a 4.28 ERA last season, his second with the Giants, in 48 and 1/3 innings of relief. Gearrin, along with Kontos and Smith, are likely to play a much larger role in the club’s bullpen this season, with Sergio Romo, Javier Lopez and Santiago Casilla all projected to leave in free agency.
Nunez, who was acquired in a mid-season trade, is expected to be the Giants starting third-basman next year, with post season hero Conor Gillaspie serving as his primary backup. Ehrie Adrianza will likely continue to serve as a utility infield injury replacement and is coming off his best season as a pro.
