Since winning the NBA Finals in the month of June, fans of Cleveland sports have been talking mad trash — and rightly so. It was the city’s first championship since 1964.
But in particular, Cleveland fans unleashed viral memes, trolling the Golden State Warriors for their epic 3-1 collapse.
My have the tides turned.
The Indians blew a 3-1 lead in the World Series Wednesday in a decisive Game 7, and lost three consecutive games to the Chicago Cubs. It was a fantastic season, but it ended in heartbreak.
Twitter, and the world in general, was waiting to hit Cleveland with a little karma.
