A legendary 49er is still doing legendary things for the Indianapolis Colts.
Frank Gore is now 10th all-time in career rushing yards, and passed Marcus Allen, Edgerrin James and Marshall Faulk with 68 yards rushing Sunday against the Colts.
Gore is 19 yards away from passing Jim Brown to move into 9th place. The 33-year-old rushed for a 49ers franchise record 11,073 yards in 10 seasons with San Francisco.
The more Gore continues to achieve, the more likely his gold jacket will be awaiting him in Canton at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Other running backs that Frank Gore has passed in career rushing yards: Franco Harris, Thurman Thomas, John Riggins, Corey Dillon, O.J. Simpson, Warrick Dunn and Ricky Waters. If he keeps this pace he’ll likely pass Tony Dorsett and Eric Dickerson by the end of 2016.
Bravo, Frank Gore.
